Last week, an interesting question was asked in the House of Commons that the Liberals refused to answer. It was: Will the Liberal Cabinet will be issuing a secretive Order in Council, without public discussion, that will implement a firearms ban in Canada? Will it be announced in June in Vancouver at a Liberal-organized women’s conference where Trudeau will share the stage with the female Prime Minister of New Zealand?
This involves secret cabinet activities shielded from the public’s eyes. It excludes Parliament from the decision and any discussion. It ignores Canadians – and when they did consult, 80% told them to leave legitimate firearms owners alone. It involves the confiscation of private property, and it will take policing resources from fighting crime to going after regular Canadians.
And the sole reason? To give Justin Trudeau a photo op to help him change the channel on the disastrous last year. This is like so many other poorly thought-out proposals of his government – all based on what helps him and his friends, not on what is best for the average Canadian.
