Liberals’ environmental focus more about revenue than it is about nature

The Liberals’ interference in what were science-based processes and their national carbon tax demonstrate that the environment is seen as little more than a revenue generator for the Trudeau Liberals. For a government whose spending is completely out of control, their environmental focus is more about getting money from taxpayers than it is about nature.

They are not alone in their hypocrisy. A year ago protestors moved into Standing Rock to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. They invaded private land, set up camp and blocked construction.

In December, when the protestors were ordered off the land, their true environmental credentials were on display. They left but without their garbage – over 800 dumpsters full of vehicles, tents, teepees, sleeping bags, and garbage.

Ironically, they put the local water supply in jeopardy.

Like our present government, they were only too happy to claim virtue while actually having no practical interest in the environment. The problem for Canadian taxpayers is that the Liberal carbon schemes will cost them a lot more than the clean up of 800 dumpsters full of junk.
