The Liberal circus continues in Ottawa. This past week the Liberals continued to push their cannabis legislation through without adequately addressing the provincial costs and consequences.
Bill Morneau continues to dig himself a deeper and deeper hole by refusing to answer questions about when he sold his shares in his own family company, Morneau Sheppell. It seems impossible that he has the necessary credibility to stay in the position.
But one thing that is not getting enough attention is Justin Trudeau’s decision to spend 500 million dollars of Canadian taxpayers’ money in the Asian Infrastructure Bank. This is a bank that is controlled by China and its purpose is to extend China’s influence in Southeast Asia. It will support infrastructure projects such as pipelines in Asia.
So while in Canada, Liberals are doing everything they can to destroy the energy industry, they will be using Canadian money to build rival infrastructure in other countries. This is one more thing that costs Canadians far more than they will benefit.
