OTTAWA – A record number of participants including parliamentarians, religious and business leaders of all faiths will gather in Ottawa for the 43rd annual National Prayer Breakfast, May 15, 2008.
This is the second year David Anderson, M.P. Cypress Hills-Grasslands will chair the event. “It is a real privilege to chair a national event that puts our political differences aside and gathers people of all faiths and affiliations to meet in the spirit of Jesus Christ,” said Anderson.
Anderson noted that they try to open the event to as many Canadians as possible. This year the location of the Prayer breakfast was moved from Parliament Hill to the Congress Centre to accommodate the expanding number of participants.
Anderson has spoken about this year’s prayer breakfast on 100 Huntley Street, Canada’s first daily Christian television program.
