Watch this week’s radio commentary below:
Here we are again, still talking about the Liberals’ newest attempt to tax Canadians.
They are trying change the rules around investment income, farm transfers, and income sharing in a way that punishes family and small business companies, but leaves Justin Trudeau’s and Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s fortunes untouched.
But I have to tell you, I think you are finally getting through to them. In the last week, we have seen the Finance Minister backing off and starting to explain that when these proposals come out in the final version, they won’t be that extensive.
Last Wednesday, we were all amused during Question Period when Justin Trudeau’s only response to examples from across Canada – that have been backed up by accountants – was to stand and say, ‘You’re making that up!’, and then sit down.
What that means is that Justin’s Liberals are now running scared. We need to keep working together; we need to keep up the pressure so that they finally and totally abandon this ill-thought-out tax grab.
