This might or might not be a surprise, but Justin Trudeau’s Liberals, with Ralph Goodale in charge, are moving to create a new gun registry.

The Firearms Advisory Group is now loaded up with Liberal appointees that are laying the ground work for a return to the days when so many average Canadians were made into criminals.

They promised during their 2015 campaign that they would require vendors to keep records of all firearms inventory and all purchases, along with the buyer’s personal information. The intention is that vendors will need to ensure buyers are licensed, that government will have compiled this info on sellers, buyers and the firearms inventory, with information that gives them the capacity to track those guns from buyer to buyer and with all of the information kept on file. Even though they say it is not a gun registry, if it looks like a gun registry and acts like a gun registry, then it will be a gun registry.

We will be directly and very publicly opposing any attempt by the Liberals to bring back their old long gun registry by stealth.
