Everyone is aware of Justin Trudeau’s disastrous family vacation to India: dancing his way across India in Indian dress, not knowing the basic facts of India on the half day he did work, forcing Canadian taxpayers to pay for a Liberal celebrity chef to go to India. It was Justin’s dream vacation and the Canadian taxpayer’s nightmare.
But bad leadership has consequences. The Indian government has been concerned that Trudeau is way too cozy with Sikh separatists. One of the ways they have expressed that concern is by placing tariffs on the billion dollar Canadian lentils trade.
Last week, when Trudeau invited a convicted Sikh separatist extremist to an official dinner, the Indian government could not miss it. And then CBC and CTV blindly carried the Liberals’ talking points that this was all the Indian government’s fault.
Because the tariff on lentils is not just an ag issue, this makes it even harder to get it cleared up so that Western Canadian farmers can access their top market.
Another week with Justin Trudeau, dividing Canadians and damaging the Western Canadian economy.
