The definition of a zealot is someone who believes that everyone else must see the world as they do or there is something wrong with them. In the past, Canadians have been free to believe, and to disagree, without every disagreement being personal. We are losing that and becoming much more narrow minded and, unfortunately, it’s Justin Trudeau and his Cabinet who are leading the way to intolerance.
Environment Minister Catherine McKenna’s attitude of superiority around environmental issues is alienating more and more Canadians, especially as they realize that her signature carbon tax is a money grab, not an environmental solution.
The hypocrisy of them spending almost 300,000 dollars to examine why the energy sector is struggling after they have spent two years trying to drive a stake through its heart is astounding. Their latest proposals will ensure that no major energy project anywhere in rural Canada will ever be approved. It’s time these Liberals realize that the Western Canadian perspective is just as valuable as theirs. If they don’t, they will run the risk of tearing this country apart.
