Swift Current, Sk, - David Anderson Member of Parliament for Cypress Hills-Grasslands announced federal funding to strengthen economic opportunities in Southwest Saskatchewan. “Our Government, through Canada’s Economic Action Plan, is taking steps to reduce the effects of the economic slowdown,” said Anderson. “These facilities are an important part of these communities. It brings people together as families, friends and neighbours to learn new skills, exchange ideas, get fit and healthy, and have fun.”
“With this investment we are providing a boost towards the ultimate completion of this facility,” said Cypress Hills MLA Wayne Elhard. “Our government was pleased to help build for the future of Shaunavon.”
Five communities in Cypress Hills-Grasslands will receive funding for a total Federal and Provincial contribution of over 1.3 million dollars.

RInC is part of Canada’s Economic Action Plan, the Government of Canada’s multi-faceted stimulus plan that will ensure a quick recovery from the current economic downturn. Western Economic Diversification Canada is delivering the initiative in the four western provinces.
